As someone who comes from a city whose trademark is a small flying creature, I didn't hesitate much in choosing this game. The Mosquito Gang multiplayer is a title from Space Racoon Game Studio where mosquitoes and humans face off, each having their own set of tasks to complete within a certain time to win.
After the first entry into the game, players are greeted by a tutorial that introduces them to the tasks assigned to both mosquitoes and humans. The gameplay can be most closely associated with Dead by Daylight. Mosquitoes must suck blood to fill three blood donation devices and unlock their exits from the house. To add to the challenge, their side missions include: playing music from a gramophone, breaking flower pots, and deactivating traps. The gramophone features classics such as Gasolina (Daddy Yankee), All Star (Smash Mouth), and Gangster's Paradise (Coolio).
Humans have a laptop at their disposal that offers a large arsenal of weapons and traps, and to access them, they must: clean the house of trash, unclog the toilet and flush it, and water the flowers. A match can include five players, who can choose whether to be mosquitoes or humans. With each game played, players earn a certain number of experience points that reward them with various items to customize their character or mosquito. Available options include Quick Play, Find Game (server browser, which often has no matches), Create Game, and Training, which is the previously mentioned tutorial at the start of the game.
Conclusion
Considering this is their first project, it can be said that the team has done a good job and provided an entertaining title that definitely has the potential for a game night with friends. The game's visual style is interesting and reminiscent of titles like Fortnite or Street Fighter. As for the gameplay itself, it is easy to understand and does not require significant skills from players. If you are a fan of multiplayer titles in the style of DBD, we definitely recommend you try The Mosquito Gang.
