Puzzle adventure enthusiasts will soon have another interesting title for their wishlist. The Argentine studio Kronos Interactive has confirmed that their game Echoes From Ciudadela will be released on Steam on July 23, while players will be able to try out a new demo version during the Steam Next Fest.
Echoes From Ciudadela is a first-person narrative puzzle adventure in which you take on the role of Katarija, a young explorer who, after the death of her father, finds his journal and embarks on the trail of the last mission he never completed. The clues lead her to Ciudadela, a mysterious mountain that hides the remnants of a long-lost civilization.
During the exploration, players will solve a series of puzzles inspired by historical inventions and ancient mechanisms that guard the secrets of Ciudadela. The gameplay focuses on observing the environment, experimenting, and connecting different systems to uncover the truth about her father's last wish.
A significant role in the exploration is played by the Balearic slingshot, a multifunctional tool that allows you to hit distant targets, break obstacles, and deflect projectiles off surfaces to activate hidden mechanisms. As the story progresses, the slingshot receives new upgrades that unlock additional interaction possibilities with the environment.
When the puzzles become more challenging, help comes through the father's journal, which gradually reveals new clues about the lost civilization and its technologies. The game also includes a hint system for players who get stuck during certain challenges.
Echoes From Ciudadela takes players through various locations inspired by Patagonia, from vast landscapes and mountain plateaus to dark caves and ancient ruins. The atmosphere is further enhanced by professional voice acting and detailed sound design that uses soundtracks as part of the gameplay itself.
If you want to try the game before its release, the new demo version will be available during the Steam Next Fest from June 15 to June 22. Echoes From Ciudadela will arrive on Steam on July 23, 2026.
