Slay the Spire meets Fallout

Raiders World Studio presented its new project, a story-driven roguelite deckbuilder set in a post-apocalyptic world. The simplest description would be "Slay the Spire plus Fallout," but Armita's Search aims to go a step further by focusing on story, characters, and decisions that change the entire course of the adventure.

At the center of the story is Armita, a girl who grew up safe within a hidden bunker. After a mysterious patrol kidnaps her father, she embarks on a dangerous journey through the Barrens alongside Fred, a robot who serves as her bodyguard and companion. The world she explores is partially shaped by alien terraforming and partially destroyed by wars and survivors fighting for every resource.

Gameplay combines map exploration, events, dialogues, and tactical card battles. Throughout the journey, you build a deck of companion cards, items, and various challenges that accompany you on your path. Water shortages, diseases, equipment malfunctions, and radiation are not just narrative elements but are literally added to your deck, making future battles more difficult.

The most interesting part of the entire system is the Humanity mechanic. Every decision you make affects Armita's humanity, and thus the available options, reactions from other characters, and the story's ending. The game openly questions how far you are willing to go to survive. Mercy often complicates the journey, while cruelty brings short-term benefits but also long-term consequences.

Fights are completely turn-based and focused on planning. Enemies reveal their intentions in advance, so the emphasis is on tactics, positioning, and smart card usage. Each companion brings their own mini deck and specific synergies, and team selection can significantly change the gameplay.

Armita's Search features a hand-drawn 2D style inspired by comics, with vibrant colors contrasting the bleak atmosphere of the post-apocalyptic world.

Armita's Search is expected to enter open beta during the summer of 2026, while the full release is currently planned for 2027 on PC. The developers also state that ports for other platforms are planned after the release.
