Extra time for a better experience

CI Games and Hexworks have announced that the release of the soulslike action RPG Lords of the Fallen II, which was supposed to launch this fall on PC, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2, has been postponed. The new plan is for the release to be in the first half of 2027, and they have also published a lengthy message explaining the reason for the delay.

"Lords of the Fallen II will be released in the first half of 2027. As development progresses, we are collaborating with a team that is gathering feedback related to gameplay and a group of dedicated veterans of the soulslike genre who are part of our creative team for the game's release. Their valuable insights, combined with the team's vision, have revealed significant opportunities to refine and enhance the overall experience. These improvements will be reflected through integration, iteration, and polishing time to ensure the best quality at launch," said CI Games founder Marek Tyminski.

He also added: "This refreshed release window strategically distances us from an already strong holiday period and will ensure that the game receives the attention it deserves. Our team remains driven by the strong response to the recently showcased materials and is focused on delivering an exceptional example of dark fantasy action RPG, as well as a successor to the Lords of the Fallen franchise. We are grateful for the continued passion, feedback, and support from our community and look forward to sharing more in the coming months.
