Pearl Abyss's action RPG continues to see strong sales after its release in March.

Pearl Abyss has announced that Crimson Desert has surpassed 6 million copies sold worldwide. The open-world action-adventure was released on March 19, 2026, and since then has continued to gather a global community of players through regular free content updates.

According to data shared by Pearl Abyss, Crimson Desert sold 2 million copies on its first day, while it reached the 5 million mark in less than a month. It reached the 6 million figure in 83 days, making it one of the most successful Korean single-player titles in the global market.

Pearl Abyss CEO Jin-young Heo thanked players around the world for their support and emphasized that the success is particularly significant as it is a new IP. Crimson Desert has also stood out in the American market, where, according to Circana, it ranked second on the list of best-selling games in 2026.

Pearl Abyss continues to expand the game with new content and improvements. From June to September, gradual updates will include story enhancements, new combat content, cross-save support between PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, as well as a range of gameplay quality improvements. It has also been confirmed that additional DLC content is in development, with more details to be revealed later.
