New approach for different types of gaming
Philips states that switching between profiles is done directly through the OSD menu, without manually changing settings in the operating system. This allows the monitor to serve both visually demanding games and competitive titles where the priority is the highest possible FPS.
Screen features
Both models are based on a Fast IPS panel and come with a 25% haze anti-glare coating, as well as a maximum brightness of 350 nits. They also include Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free functions, and the available ports are HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4.
Differences between models
The more expensive 27M4N5500PT comes with a SmartErgoBase stand that allows height, tilt, and swivel adjustments, along with a 90-degree pivot for vertical use. This model also features the Evnia AI gaming icon light system, while the basic 27M4N3500PT focuses on the triple-mode functionality and a basic set of specifications.
Short editorial version
Philips Evnia has attempted to combine a single display for three different scenarios with the new M4 monitors: AAA gaming, fast competitive matches, and flexible use with a variable ratio between image quality and speed. The most interesting novelty is the ability to instantly switch between QHD/275 Hz, FHD/360 Hz, and HD/540 Hz profiles.
