Embracer Group announced a plan to split into two publicly listed companies. The new company will be called Fellowship Entertainment, and its listing on the Nasdaq Stockholm exchange is planned for 2027.

Fellowship Entertainment will focus on major intellectual properties, game development, publishing, and licensing. Under this company, Crystal Dynamics, Eidos-Montreal, 4A Games, Dambuster Studios, Warhorse Studios, Middle-earth Enterprises, and other teams are expected to be included. Among the most important brands are The Lord of the Rings, Tomb Raider, Dead Island, Metro, Darksiders, Remnant, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

The other part of the business will continue to operate under the name Embracer. It will include THQ Nordic, Aspyr, Limited Run Games, Milestone, Tripwire, Vertigo Games, and others, along with franchises like Gothic, Destroy All Humans!, Wreckfest, Titan Quest, Killing Floor, and Arizona Sunshine.

Embracer states that the goal of the split is a clearer focus for management, stricter cost control, and better utilization of the portfolio.
