Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 as a modern edition of the concept that relies on the legacy of the game Wii Sports Resort. Nintendo has confirmed that the game will be released on October 22, 2026, and pre-orders are already available through the eShop.
The new sports collection brings 12 sports: boxing, table tennis, archery, tennis, volleyball, bowling, basketball, golf, thumb wrestling, skateboarding, power cruising, and flying a plane. All sports utilize different control methods with the Joy-Con 2 controllers, including mouse controls for skateboarding and tilting the controller while flying. Players will be able to warm up in a jump rope mini-game and perform as Sportsmate characters or Mii avatars.
