Wargaming and AMC Networks today announced an apocalyptic blend between the legendary TV series The Walking Dead and World of Tanks. From November 6 to 17, the Combat Pass event: The Walking Dead allows players to monetize five favorite characters from the series as crew members and earn exclusive themed rewards, including a custom H3 tank in a rugged 3D style, creepy 2D styles, themed 3D attachments that turn vehicles into symbols of survival, and more.
Five legendary survivors are waiting for tank commanders to face the chaos: the resilient leader Rick Grimes and the ruthless Savior Negan are both available with zero abilities through chapter progression. Three more can be unlocked in packs: the sharp-eyed survivor Daryl Dixon, fierce warrior Michonne, and manipulative tyrant The Governor. These wasteland warriors bring their relentless spirit to any tank crew and come with custom voice lines, with The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus voicing his legendary character, Daryl Dixon.
The Combat Pass event: The Walking Dead features the perfect tank for breaking through the dangers of this new world - the H3, wrapped in the menacing 3D style No Shelter. The H3 is built to instill fear as it rolls across the battlefield with its worn and tattered exterior covered in wire mesh, chains, and barbed wire for added menace. Upon closer inspection, players will notice that the tank is packed with familiar items from the series, including Daryl's motorcycle and crossbow, Negan's bat Lucille, Michonne's katana, and Rick's sheriff's hat.
To truly dominate the apocalyptic battlefield, players can equip their vehicles with a collection of stickers, inscriptions, and 3D attachments themed around The Walking Dead - each of which is a relic of survival from a long-lost world. Among them is the "Walker Attraction System," which reflects the tactics of survivors who used music and noise to lure or redirect the dead; the "Savior Machine Gun," marked with a scratched label "Saviors" and wrapped in Negan's iconic red scarf; and many others, each telling its own story from the apocalypse. All these 3D attachments can be mounted on a wide range of vehicles.
