One more Level and Lyrical Games have announced that they have postponed the release of the soulslike game Valor Mortis. The game was originally set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and XBOX Series X/S on September 24, but the new date will be October 13.
According to the team, the decision was made because September is already filled with various titles, including Silent Hill Townfall and Control Resonant on September 24, and Onimusha Way of the Sword the day after. Later in the month, there will also be The Blood of Dawnwalker, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, Minecraft Dungeons II, Orbitals, Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, Valheim.
"Hello soldiers! September has become packed with great announced titles. We knew this could be a possibility, but when you're part of partner presentations, dates are set weeks in advance. That's why we want to give Valor Mortis (and your wallets) some breathing room. We decided that the release date will now be October 13. In the meantime, we have released a demo on Steam and received a lot of feedback. The new date will give us more time to improve the game. Try it out, let us know what you think, and see you in October."
