The creator of Doom and Quake and co-founder of id Software John Romero will be a speaker at Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2026. Romero's presentation will be titled Why We Still Make Games, in which he will reflect on his long career, steps back, and adaptation to changes in the industry.
Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show merged into one event in 2025 and continues its collaboration. From October 29 to November 1, more than 70 speakers from 20 countries will gather at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok to share their experiences on four stages, including members from Roblox, Tencent, Rovio, and Gameloft.
Companies such as Synnex-Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Sega, Capcom, Bandai Namco, AMD, and Sandisk will also be present. For the first time ever, the popular platform ACE Bangkok for all things related to pop culture will be associated with the event. The exhibition space has also grown for the first time, with four halls this year increasing the area to 35,000 square meters, a 20% increase compared to 2025.
According to the organizers, Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 attracted 206,149 visitors. They had the opportunity to listen to more than 70 speakers, including Glen Schofield (Dead Space), Danny Koo (Marvel Rivals), Alex Karpazis (Rainbow Six: Siege X, Far Cry 5), Fleur Marty (Far Cry), and Eric Shin (World of Warships and World of Tanks).
