Grand Theft Auto VI continues to dominate the gaming scene even before its release, winning the award for Most Anticipated Game at The Game Awards 2026 for the second consecutive time. This year, the competition included 007: First Light, Wolverine, Resident Evil Requiem, and The Witcher IV, but the combination of fan votes and an international jury once again brought victory to Rockstar's upcoming hit. This recognition comes after GTA VI won the title of Most Wanted Game at the Golden Joystick Awards both this year and last year.
