Cleared up the question of the future!

The head of the content department at XBOX, Matt Booty, explained in a conversation with GamerTag Radio what the plan is for the future now that the strategy for XBOX exclusive games for consoles is being formed. Many players can breathe easy as Booty announced that multiplayer titles will continue to be released on multiple platforms.

During yesterday's XBOX Games Showcase, the company's head, Asha Sharma, announced the era of returning exclusive titles, and we learned that Gears of War E-Day and Clockwork Revolution will be available only for XBOX and that these are not titles that are exclusive to them for a limited time. Booty was asked how players will know which games are exclusive to them and which are not.

"We want to have a reason for people to join the XBOX family, and we want them to have a reason to buy our console and become part of the fanbase. At the same time, we want to reward players who have been with us for years. We know that exclusives are important, which is why we have Gears of War E-Day (2026) and Clockwork Revolution (2027). We also want to be clear that our major multiplayer and live-service titles will continue to be available on all platforms."

Booty also added that Halo: Campaign Evolved, Fable, and Forza Horizon 6 will still come to PlayStation 5 and that exclusivity only applies to future titles.

"If we promised something to the players, of course, we will respect that decision, right? And then we will really, as Asha put it best, make the right decision, not a quick one. We will think about it as the time comes. I think you also know that our principle when we announce a date is that we want to announce the platforms as well. We will go step by step, but we will be clear that when something has a date, it will also have platforms, and you will know what the choices will be."
