the release of the PC version has been announced

The Canadian studio Kettle Games has unveiled a new gameplay teaser for Wordbound, an unusual language puzzle game coming to PC via Steam.

Wordbound was showcased during the Creature Feature & Friends 2026 Showcase, where Kettle Games confirmed plans for a PC release alongside the VR version. It is a whimsical puzzle adventure where the entire world is made up of words, and players must use language, letters, and logic to shape objects and solve puzzles.

The main idea of the game revolves around breaking down objects into letters, rearranging magical tiles, and creating new items. Players will be able to restore objects within handcrafted dioramas, find hidden Sparks throughout the levels, and creatively build their own scenes by combining words.

Particularly interesting is the system where 3D objects can be "stretched" into words made of letter tiles, while the words can then be "compressed" back into new 3D objects. A mixed reality version of the game went viral on social media last summer, garnering over 10 million views.

Wordbound currently does not have a confirmed release date. More information will be revealed in the coming months.
