Red Dune Games and Blast Zero have announced a new game Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past based on the popular anime series. The game is described as a 2D action RPG and will give players the opportunity to control cats as they explore the world of Little Tokyo.
"That's right folks, after 30 years Samurai Pizza Cats are finally back! The Big Cheese has devised an evil plan and it's up to you to stop him from taking over Little Tokyo."
It has also been confirmed that the original voice actors from the series will return.
The series originally aired in Japan under the name Kyatto Ninden Teyandee (Cat Ninja Legend Teyandee) and had 54 episodes, and it was brought to Western audiences by Saban Entertainment (Power Rangers, VR Trooper). This year marks 35 years since the series first aired.
