NIS America and Falcom have announced the release date for the RPG titles The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure, which will come to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Both titles will be available separately or as a bundle.

The PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 versions will feature a range of performance enhancements including 4K resolution, 120 fps, and support for mouse gameplay (Switch 2). Pre-orders for the limited edition are available through the online store for $109, and it includes a copy of the game, a special box, an art book, music, cards, and even a set of coasters.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero takes us back to a place called Crossbell, which is caught in conflict between the Erebonian Empire and the Republic of Calvard. Lloyd Bannings returns to his hometown after three years to become part of the Crossbell police force, just like his late brother. He soon learns that he has been assigned to the Special Support Section, a new team that deals with strange jobs and minor requests. His colleagues will be Elie MacDowell (the mayor's great-granddaughter), Randy Orlando (a charmer and former soldier), and Tio Plato (a young genius).

The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure is set a few months after Zero and once again puts us in the role of Lloyd, whose team must fight against new organizations that want to harm Crossbell and navigate the new war between the Erebonian Empire and the Republic of Calvard.
