Football fans around the world have voted for the best players in 2026, and EA SPORTS today revealed the winners of the Team of the Year voting. The men's team of the year includes forwards Dembélé, Haaland, and Mbappé, midfielders Rice, Vitinha, and Pedri, and defenders Nuno Mendes, Van Dijk, Saliba, and Koundé, with Donnarumma in goal. The team captain is Mbappé.
The women's team of the year features forwards Pajor, Russo, and Pina, midfielders Putellas, Marion, and Bonmati, and defenders Bronze, Bright, Williamson, and Bach, with Endler in goal. The team captain is Bronze.
This year's selection brought several surprises; however, all players among the chosen ones had fantastic seasons behind them. It is worth noting that no card received the maximum rating of 99 as used to happen during the Team of the Year Event, and the highest-rated cards have a rating of 97. Starting January 16, Team of the Year attackers will be available in packs, and other cards will be released every two days until all players are available from January 22. TOTY Honourable Mentions and 12th Players will be released on January 23. TOTY Icons teams will also appear in packs from January 16 to 23 in two different teams.
