Developer Techland has announced that Update 1.4 for Dying Light: The Beast is now available — the largest and most significant update yet.
The new version introduces the long-awaited New Game+, which allows players to replay the story while retaining equipment, weapons, and progress from the first playthrough. Tougher enemies, better gear, and loot accompany the increasing level of challenge. New Game+ can be repeated multiple times, with each completed round further increasing the game's difficulty.
The classic endgame progression through Legend Levels has also been reintroduced — after reaching level 15, all XP becomes Legend XP, and players earn Legend points for passive upgrades (more health, improved combat attributes, stronger Beast Mode performance…).
Visually, the PC version now supports ray tracing — more realistic lighting, shadows, and reflections, which further deepens the atmosphere of the dangerous world in which the story unfolds. Additionally, over 70 graphical issues have been fixed — textures, floating objects, clipping, and architectural irregularities.
The update brings a total of over 400 improvements and fixes, from parkour and environmental navigation to stability, performance, animations, combat, and audio-visual elements — taking into account community feedback.
For players: Everyone who logs in from November 27 to December 2, 2025 will receive an exclusive in-game gift — Bloody Bowie Knife. Also, from November 27 to 30, 2025, a Double XP event will take place. During the same period, the game is available at a promotional discount of up to 25% on all platforms.
