Shift the Story is a team from Great Britain created on a simple idea: that the way we present our experiences can greatly shape our lives. Through storytelling, psychology, and experiences, they explore the transformations people undergo while struggling with their own progress. Their goal is to create projects inspired by global issues and everyday battles, focusing on everything that helps us find calm.

Their project Livora is designed as a life simulation title where decisions play a key role. Thus, our task is to build our life, cope with pressure, and live with the consequences of our choices. At the very beginning, we create our character to which we can set basic information, but also choose from the offered careers, each coming with a specific budget, amount of energy, and mental strength.

As weeks and even days pass, our characters must be careful about how they allocate their money, how much work they take on to avoid mental strain, develop relationships in the love area, further improve themselves, and plan their future through investments in retirement or potential other areas. Every option in Livora needs to be handled wisely, as certain decisions can later reflect on our lives.

One of Livora's main features is that the world around you does not stand still; just like in real life, seasons change, temperatures fluctuate, news from the world appears, and some major events can affect your character through stress, opportunities, or distractions.

If you are wondering, yes, Livora uses artificial intelligence, which many players despise. As the team states, it is used here only for the visual part to create your character and certain images, while the gameplay is traditional, meaning nothing is generated by artificial intelligence and it does not connect to any AI system.

Livora certainly proves that browser games can still be as fun as they once were; for those who work remotely, it can be something you can play during breaks or while simultaneously doing your job. If you don't like one career, don't worry because Livora gives you the opportunity to start over and correct everything that happened in your previous life.

In addition to the browser version, Livora will also receive a Steam version, which will be released on July 3, 2026.
