Codename Fuji

Koei Tecmo is currently working on a new action IP title. The studio known for the Ninja Gaiden, Dynasty Warriors, Nioh, and Dead or Alive series has made it onto the IP360 program list of the Japanese government.

IP360 was launched by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in early 2026, and its goal is to provide funding for new titles. Thus, on the ministry's website, you can find a full list that includes Koei along with Konami, Arc System Works, and Square Enix.

Koei Tecmo is the only one to provide more information about its project codenamed Fuji: using its experience in creating games based on visuals from the Far East and action games, the company will create a new title with the aim of achieving global success and expanding into other media.

While Koei Tecmo is still enjoying the success of well-known series and some external ones (Fire Emblem and Hyrule Warriors), they are also frequently developing new games such as: Wild Hearts, Rise of the Ronin, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. It was recently announced at the XBOX Games Showcase that Wo Long will receive a sequel in 2027 Wo Long: Wings of Ember.
