Return to Wraeclast

Map

The story of Path of Exile 2 is set 20 years after the fall of Kitava, where players return to the dark world of Wraeclast to stop the spread of corruption. The game offers six unique classes: Warrior, Monk, Mercenary, Sorceress, Witch, and Ranger, each facing its own story and challenges. Each class has three ascendancy subclasses, allowing players additional specialization and character customization.

Gameplay Improvements

Path of Exile 2 introduces significant changes to the game mechanics. The new skill system includes 240 active and 200 support gems, providing players with a wide range of combinations to customize their playstyles. The passive skill tree now contains around 2000 nodes, allowing for detailed character personalization. Additionally, new types of weapons such as spears, crossbows, and maces have been introduced, along with additions like traps and redesigned staves.

One of the key innovations is the rolling dodge mechanic, which adds dynamism to the combat system. The "Spirit" resource is used to reserve things like auras, introducing an additional layer of strategy in resource management. Permanent minions, enhanced trigger skills, and improvements to the graphics engine further enrich the gameplay experience.

Campaign and Endgame Content

After completing the campaign, endgame content opens up with over 100 maps, each featuring its own boss and modifiers that allow for revised versions of many previous leagues from the original Path of Exile.

Multiplayer and Co-op Options
