The Game Bakers announced that they will delay the release of their survival climbing game Cairn. The original date was November 5, and the new date is the first half of 2026.

"The difficult decision was made to ensure that the release of Cairn is as good as possible and to deliver the unforgettable experiences that players expected from the demo version. The game is currently finished, but the additional months of development will be used for optimization, bug fixing, and polishing. The Game Bakers' goal has always been to create games that players will remember even after they finish them."

Creative director Emeric Thoa added: "We had several testing periods, and the feedback we received revealed that we have something special with Cairn. We are aware of all the improvements we can still make for an unforgettable experience. After five years of work, it makes no sense to rush, as we want to be proud of the game at launch."

The demo of Cairn has been played by over 600,000 players, and on October 13, it will receive a new update that will allow players to see the ghosts of others while climbing.
