Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment announced that on August 4th, they will shut down Apex Legends on the original Nintendo Switch. Players will still be able to play matches and collect rewards until that date, as well as use the in-game currency Apex Coins to purchase skins and characters. All progress made will be transferred to Nintendo Switch 2, as Apex uses an EA account, not Nintendo.
