CRKD™, the premium brand of collectible gaming products, has announced the return of a true legend: the Gibson SG Guitar Controller is back on the scene twenty years after it rocked the world during the PlayStation®2 console generation.
Deliveries are expected to start in December 2025, and pre-orders are already open. The Gibson SG Guitar Controller has been completely redesigned for modern players, while remaining a faithful reproduction of the iconic model that started it all, celebrating two decades of riffs, whammy solos, and weekend rock marathons with family and friends.
Just like in 2005, the new black Gibson SG Guitar Controller is compatible with PlayStation® consoles and pays homage to the legacy of the original. It is officially licensed for PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4 and ready for Fortnite® Festival and Rock Band 4 on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles, as well as for co-op rhythm games like YARG and Clone Hero on PC and portable PC devices. Classic Guitar Hero and Rock Band titles are also supported through a special Legacy mode.

Designed and engineered by many members of the original RedOctane team behind the legendary Guitar Hero™ guitar controllers, the Gibson SG Guitar Controller is not just a controller – it is a celebration, the perfect blend of heritage and innovation. Instantly recognizable, it comes with a matte black body and an integrated matte white pickguard.
The Gibson SG uses CRKD's proprietary Hall Effect strum bar, which provides extremely precise input and a satisfying mechanical click with every strum. Designed for top performance, this technology ensures consistent accuracy even in the most demanding solos — so missed notes are no longer the controller's fault!
The design is complemented by a brown OG-style neck with mechanical buttons and Crown Inlay graphics proudly displayed on the headstock.
The Gibson SG Guitar Controller also includes CRKD's signature 8-action navigation hub with left and right analog sticks and a discreetly placed D-Pad on the back of the headstock, allowing for easy navigation through menus and additional functions. The discreet Platform Slider enables quick switching between PS5™, PS4™, Legacy mode, and PC mode, while the Hall effect whammy bar won't let players down in crucial activation moments!
Through the CRKD app (CTRL), players can unlock a wide range of customization options, including key remapping, adjusting the sensitivity of the strum bar, tilt activation, and firmware updates. The app also allows for product registration within the True Collection System, adding it to the personal library of CRKD collectible items with a unique product number and rarity rank.
