At the opening of Gamescom 2025 in Cologne, SQUARE ENIX and Capcom surprised fans by revealing the first details of the long-awaited collaboration between Final Fantasy XIV Online and the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds.
On the Opening Night Live stage, FFXIV producer and director Naoki Yoshida and Monster Hunter Wilds producer Ryozo Tsujimoto jointly appeared, revealing what players can expect when the crossover content launches in early October 2025.
The central event brings the arrival of the fearsome guardian Arkveld into the world of Final Fantasy XIV, and the teaser trailer already hints at an epic clash that will combine the best of both franchises.
This collaboration continues the tradition of special events within FFXIV, while also further building a bridge to fans of the Monster Hunter franchise who are eagerly awaiting the release of Wilds.
