Square Enix and NHN PlayArt have officially announced a new game in the Dissidia Final Fantasy series. They first intrigued us on Sunday when they announced the reveal and a few images from the game. We now know that the title will be called Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy and that applications for the closed beta test are now open.
This title will be free-to-play with optional in-game purchases, and its release is planned for sometime in 2026 for Android and iOS devices. The mentioned beta test will take place from November 7 to 14 in the USA, Canada, and Japan.
Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy is set in modern Tokyo where a mysterious crystal has appeared, becoming part of everyday life. Of course, nothing lasts too long, and various monsters emerge with the intention of corrupting the crystal and bringing humanity to despair. Among the cast of characters, we will see some familiar faces including: Cloud Strife, Terra Branford, Lightning, Gaia, and others.
