Season 2 of Battlefield 6 officially started on February 17 with update 1.2.1.0, which brings a new map, limited modes, vehicles, weapons, and a large number of technical improvements.
The main novelty is the map Contaminated, set in the mountainous region of Europe around a strategic German airbase, supporting all sizes of battles, ground vehicles, and helicopters, as well as modes like Conquest and Breakthrough. The season also introduces special time-limited modes related to the psychoactive smoke VL-7, which forces players to use masks and filters while fighting in contaminated zones. New content includes the AH-6 Little Bird helicopter, three new weapons, gadgets like the IGLA anti-air launcher and protective masks, as well as a new Battle Pass with additional rewards.
