The new Clash Royale update arriving in December brings significant changes and improvements to the game. The biggest novelty is Heroes, more powerful versions of known troops with unique abilities. Hero Mini P.E.K.K.A eats pancakes, and each pancake gives him +1 level, up to level +5. Hero Musketeer sets up an auto-turret that deals Area of Effect damage and targets all enemies, Hero Knight uses a taunt that attracts enemy troops and the Crown Tower to attack him through a shield, while Hero Giant throws an enemy troop into the opposite lane with stun and damage. Heroes are placed in the golden Hero Slot and have an ability button that you can use every time you play them, but some abilities are only valid once. Heroes and Champions share slots: the first is unlocked at Arena 15, and the second at Arena 25, and Champions are automatically moved to those slots. Evolution Slots are now unlocked at Arena 3 and Arena 10. To unlock a Hero, you need to collect 200 Hero Fragments from events or Hero Boxes, or a complete Hero from Pass Royale. If you already have a Hero, you receive his cards and 60 Fragments. You can get your first Hero for free in the Crown Chase event for players above Arena 15. New boxes are also coming. Evolution Boxes contain only Evolution Shards and can be obtained from events, while Hero Boxes contain only Hero Fragments and can be obtained from events and the Pass Royale free track. These boxes function like Lucky Chests, have a certain number of taps, and each tap can upgrade the box and increase the rewards.
Additionally, you can now see the level of your chests and boxes in Daily Battle Rewards and on Trophy Road, with each level providing a reward boost. An improved Magic Lucky Chest with maximum boost arrives at Arena 28, and you receive a 5-Star Magic Lucky Chest at 11,975 Trophies, with an increased chance from 0.3% to 1%. Gold is no longer in 4 and 5-Star chests, Wild Cards have been reduced, and random cards come in larger quantities enough to fully upgrade a card according to the chest level. The new currency Crystals allows you to purchase emotes in the Shop. It is obtained from copies of the highest level cards or by purchasing in the Shop, and each purchased emote comes with a unique appearance. The update also brings changes to progression. Elite Wild Cards are removed and converted into Gems, while other Magic Items have been replaced with standard resources. Level 16 is added for cards, and King’s Journey is extended from 70 to 90, with a reduction in XP requirements for levels 50 to 70. It is now possible to use Gems to upgrade cards, with the price depending on the number of copies already owned. Pass Royale is divided into two new passes according to Arena, players below Arena 15 receive 6 Wild Shards, while players from Arena 15 onwards receive a Hero every month. Two 5-Star Lucky Chests have also been added, one in the free track, one in Pass Royale, and Hero Boxes for players from Arena 15 in the free track. Trophy Road is extended, and access to Ranked battles now depends on the number of Trophies. After February, the requirement for access will be 11,500 Trophies, and Ranked cards remain Level 15 until May 2026. Trophy Road is extended to 12,000 Trophies and introduces four new Arenas with additional milestones and rewards for advanced players.
