When a new Croatian game appears, it is always exciting to see what the local scene can offer. Bura: The Way the Wind Blows, from the studio Tiny Meow, deserves all the attention, and not just because it is a local product. This game is not just another indie title – it is an experience that breathes, smells of the sea and sun, and carries the spirit of Dalmatia within it. From the very first encounter with the game, it is clear that it was made with a lot of love and respect for the local culture, which is something that each of you will feel immediately.

The game follows Rina, a girl from the Adriatic coast, through various stages of life – from childhood to adulthood. Through her eyes, players observe a world that is slowly changing, just like Rina herself. This is not a classic heroic adventure with battles and wars, but a meditative story about life, growing up, losses, and the small joys that make life worth living. For all of you who appreciate emotional and thoughtful games, this is a title that will touch you.

The atmosphere in the game is simply magical. Everyone who chooses Bura will be able to enjoy the rocky streets, old boats at the dock, houses with blue shutters, and the scent of olives in the air. The feeling of truly being there is so strong that you will almost feel the salt on your skin. The artistic style is reminiscent of Studio Ghibli, but with a true Croatian stamp – the colors are warm, the landscapes gentle, and every detail shows how much care the developers took in ensuring authenticity and details that will be easy for each of you to recognize and appreciate.

The sound in the game is equally impressive. The music is gentle, emotional, and the sound of the sea and the howl of the bura only enhance the feeling of presence in the world of Bura. Few games convey the peace and quiet of the Mediterranean so faithfully, and even fewer do so with this much warmth and attention to detail.

As for the gameplay, Bura is calm and meditative. Players will explore the world, talk to characters, participate in mini-games, and discover fragments of Rina's life. There are no battles or competitions – and that is exactly what makes this game special. The pace is slow, but perfectly suited to the character of the game. If you are tired of fast action and stress, this is the perfect opportunity to pause and enjoy.

The details that the developers incorporate into the game deserve special praise. From making Paška lace to playing bocce in the shade of an old pine tree, everything exudes authenticity and love for the Mediterranean way of life. This is not folklore for the sake of folklore, but a sincere and warm ode to our culture, which many of you will recognize and appreciate.

Of course, this is an indie game, so the technical aspects are occasionally noticeable. The animations are not always perfect, and minor bugs may appear here and there. But honestly, all of that is easily forgiven when you see how much passion and effort is behind the entire project. It is especially commendable that the game was created with the support of HAVC and a crowdfunding campaign – this is proof that the local scene is growing and that our developers can create projects that deserve international attention.

Bura is not for everyone looking for adrenaline and action. This is a game for those of you who want to pause, breathe, feel, and enjoy the story. A game that invites you to feel what Rina feels and to find a part of yourself in those moments. If we had to give a rating, Bura deserves 8.5/10 – not for technical perfection, but for the warmth, soul, and authenticity that radiate from it. Tiny Meow shows that Croatian games can be special, touching, and recognizable even beyond the borders of Croatia. This game may not be a blockbuster, but it is proof that even a small team can create something memorable – a game that leaves a mark in the heart of everyone who plays it.
