Sega has announced a new management game that is coming to the West for the second time. It is part of the SakaTsuku series where players manage their football club from humble beginnings to great successes, which is very popular in Japan. According to the company, the game will be powered by Football Manager, but it is not known how.
"Sega Football Champions is the latest multiplatform football simulation from Sega. Play for free! Start by managing a small club and aim to take over the world."
Sega Football Champions will have an official FIFPro license with 10,000 real footballers, including 1,500 teams from the Japanese first, second, and third leagues. Among the well-known teams and leagues, the North Korean K League and Manchester City are licensed.
The closed beta test will take place from June 19 to June 30, and the goal will be to improve the game as the release approaches. Players can sign up until June 13, and the number of spots is limited to 15,000. Everyone who registers early will receive players from Manchester City upon release.
Sega Football Champions will be released sometime this year for PC, PlayStation, Android, and iOS.
