Is the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 version planned?

Crimson Desert has achieved a strong commercial result, so Pearl Abyss is now considering additional content and possible expansion of the game to other platforms. According to the company's financial information, the action RPG has sold over five million copies and generated $179.1 million in revenue.

The largest share of revenue came from the PC version, which accounts for about half of total sales, while the rest was generated by the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions. Such a result has clearly given Pearl Abyss enough reason to consider continuing support through paid DLC or a larger expansion.

So far, nothing has been officially confirmed in terms of specific content, dates, or the name of the expansion. Pearl Abyss is currently just considering options, and the financial report also mentioned possible expansion to other platforms. The most likely candidate in that case would be the Nintendo Switch 2, although that arrival has not been announced yet.

What is currently certain is that Crimson Desert continues to receive regular updates and improvements. Given the sales results, it would not be surprising if the game receives larger additional content in the future, especially if Pearl Abyss wants to further capitalize on player interest after the successful launch.
