The game will be available on PC and all current consoles.

Kasedo Games and Bulwark Studios have confirmed that Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II will be released on May 21, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Along with the release date, a new deep dive trailer has been released showcasing the characters Videx and Obasis.

The sequel to the tactical strategy game once again takes players into the dark world of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, this time through the conflict between the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Necrons. After millennia of slumber, Vargard Nefershah awakens the legions of her dynasty to destroy the intruders that have settled on her world, while Magos Dominus Faustinius returns to stop the Necron threat.

Mechanicus II brings two playable factions, two narrative campaigns, and two different styles of gameplay. Players will be able to lead the Adeptus Mechanicus or the Necrons, and the choice of side will affect the course of the war and the final outcome of the story.

Combat takes place in a tactical turn-based system, with an emphasis on the special abilities of the factions and the use of the environment. Mechanicus can rely on cover and positioning, while the Necrons can destroy terrain, thus changing the course of battle.

In addition to individual battles, the game includes a struggle for control of the entire world. Players will conquer and defend regions, manage resources, strengthen garrisons, and carefully choose forces for each mission. The return of composer Guillaume David is expected to further enhance the atmosphere, while the script is penned by Ben Counter, known for his Black Library novels.
