40% discount during the first two weeks of launch!

The Finnish indie studio Bugbyte Ltd has announced that Space Haven has officially exited Steam Early Access and reached version 1.0. It is a deep sci-fi colony simulation on a spaceship, developed over the past decade by a small three-member team.

The game has been available in Early Access since 2020, during which it has sold over 700,000 copies. Over the years, it has received numerous updates, new gameplay systems, and improvements based on community feedback.

On the occasion of the full version release, Space Haven is available on Steam for the price of 24.99 euros, with a 40% discount during the first two weeks of launch.

The game's story is set in space after the collapse of Earth, and players take command of a group of surviving civilians searching for a new home among the stars. Space Haven combines spaceship building, resource management, survival, tactical combat, and emergent storytelling.

Players can build and customize the ship tile by tile, manage oxygen, energy, temperature, and hazardous gases, as well as care for the physical and psychological state of the crew. Each crew member has their own skills, traits, moods, relationships, and mental state, which can significantly affect the course of the game.

In addition to managing the ship, Space Haven features exploration of abandoned spacecraft, trading, and conflicts with various factions, battles against pirates, cultists, slavers, androids, and alien threats. The procedurally generated galaxy and dynamic systems are designed to ensure that no journey is the same.

The creators state that the game is inspired by titles such as RimWorld, Oxygen Not Included, and Spacebase DF-9, as well as classic sci-fi series like Battlestar Galactica, Babylon 5, and Firefly.
