Embark Studios and Nexon have a big hit on their hands – ARC Raiders has attracted over 16 million players so far, or according to Nexon's report, surpassed 16 million copies sold. Despite a strong start, the studio is now changing its development pace and is stepping back from frequent major updates.
Instead of a monthly rhythm, ARC Raiders will now receive two major updates per year, while smaller patches, balancing, and events will arrive regularly. The first major update under the new model is called Frozen Trail and is planned for October 2026. Embark describes it as the biggest update since the game's release, featuring a new map, new ARC enemies, additional weapons, items, progression systems, and an improved skill tree.
