After the success of the original soulslike hit, the sequel to the game Lies of P has officially entered full production. This information was confirmed through the financial report of Neowiz, which states that the project has successfully passed the prototype development phase.
What is particularly interesting is that the sequel will use Unreal Engine 5, unlike the original which was developed in Unreal Engine 4. It is expected that the new engine will allow for significantly more advanced visuals, lighting, and larger open locations.
Although official details about the game itself have not yet been revealed, earlier rumors suggest that the sequel could feature a more open world design and a more ambitious approach to gameplay.
The original Lies of P has sold over four million copies worldwide so far, making it one of the biggest soulslike successes outside of FromSoftware's production.
