Party Me is one of those games that you will probably only play after checking if anyone is around you, as explaining what you are actually playing and why to someone who catches you in the middle of it could be more awkward and complicated than the game itself. The game already looks different at first glance from typical indie titles with visual novel elements. It features roguelite mechanics, resource management, a monster-raising system, and narrative choices that affect gameplay.

The main idea revolves around raising and managing monster offspring while going through random and unpredictable adventures where every decision can impact the course of the game. The permadeath system further heightens the tension as mistakes are not easily forgiven, and that sense of risk is what sets Party Me apart from other visual novels. It is important to emphasize that the permadeath system makes the game significantly harder, even on normal mode. With character development, various builds, and resource management, the game manages to offer a surprisingly large amount of strategic depth. Due to its stronger focus on gameplay and mechanics, Party Me feels more serious and substantial than most indie titles with adult themes and manages to maintain interest even during longer play sessions. The story may not be the main focus of the game, but the visual novel elements and character interactions are interesting enough to hold attention during gameplay.

Visually, the title uses a recognizable anime style with well-designed characters that look very good. Of course, most of the visual content, being an adult game, is focused on nudity and the characters' extremities. The atmosphere of the game is further enhanced by a soundtrack that complements its unusual identity.

However, this game will definitely not suit everyone, as it contains explicit content and dialogues intended solely for an adult audience, and the combination of monster-raising mechanics and adult themes is quite specific. It can also be noted that certain scenes repeat over time, often in the same environments, which can give a sense of repetitiveness.

Although Party Me offers surprisingly deep gameplay, interesting mechanics, and an original combination of genres, it is a title primarily aimed at a very specific audience. Due to its explicit content, unusual themes, and unique presentation style, the game is unlikely to appeal to every player nor will it have the broad appeal of classic roguelite or RPG titles. Nevertheless, for players who enjoy a blend of strategic mechanics, visual novel elements, and adult themes, Party Me can provide a very fun and different experience that stands out from most similar indie projects.
