Explore the world of Chef Knight, where you cook monsters and sell specialties.

The indie studio Clover Bite, known for the acclaimed Metroidvania hit GRIME, has officially announced that their new title Chef Knight will be released on Steam on June 1, 2026. It is an unusual combination of cozy fantasy atmosphere, incremental mechanics, and dungeon crawler action, where players literally cook the monsters they defeat during their adventure.

In the game, players explore top-down dungeons filled with "delicious" enemies, avoid traps, and use various culinary weapons to survive increasingly dangerous expeditions. Each defeated monster can become an ingredient for a new dish, and the collected resources are used to cook specialties that you then sell to goblins and other hungry visitors. The earnings are invested in a large skill tree that enhances combat, cooking, and dungeon exploration.

One of the main features of the game is the hand-drawn visual style that combines a relaxing cozy aesthetic with humorous fantasy elements. The developers particularly emphasize the "Cook What You Kill" system, where almost every enemy becomes part of a new recipe or the progress of your restaurant.

It is worth noting that Clover Bite operates as part of the Tiltan School of Design and Visual Communication program, through which students develop and publish their own games. Chef Knight has already attracted the attention of part of the indie community and content creators, while a free demo is currently available on Steam.
