On the occasion of Hobbit Day, Weta Workshop presented a new look at the upcoming title Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of The Rings Game and revealed that the game will be released on March 25, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S consoles, Nintendo Switch and Netflix Games.
The goal of the studio is to offer players an authentic experience of what it's like to live as a Hobbit, in creating the game they were guided by books that served as their main source of inspiration. Through meeting other residents of the Shire, players will learn new skills such as: fishing, gathering herbs or cooking. Also, everything the players do throughout the story will affect life and the world around them.
