Alkima Interactive who stands behind upcoming remake the first Gothic games in the new video explained that they do not want to change anything with this remake, but their goal is to keep the original spirit. Thus, the characters that the players will meet will continue to perform their daily routines.
They also plan to make the game as challenging as possible right from the start to stop players from pouncing on anyone they meet. Kai Rosenkranz who participated in creating the music for the original will return this time as well, because as he says, he wants to do a better job.
Gothic Remake it doesn't have a release date, but it will be available demo version as part of Steam Next Fest from the 24th. 2 to 3 March 2025.
