The action game MindsEye, which gained a reputation as one of the lowest-rated games of 2025 upon its release, has received a new DLC that has raised additional eyebrows in the gaming community. This content attempts to present alleged evidence of "sabotaging" the game's development, an idea that the developers from Build a Rocket Boy studio had previously mentioned in public.
As a reminder, MindsEye was launched in a catastrophic state, with numerous bugs, technical issues, and poorly designed mechanics, which is why it ended up among the lowest-rated titles of the year.
The new DLC, instead of a classic content expansion, brings a mission that tries to tell the "other side of the story" about the game's development. However, initial reactions suggest that the content does not bring anything significant in terms of gameplay, nor does it succeed in justifying the studio's controversial claims.
And while the developers continue to try to save the project through updates and additional content, MindsEye remains an example of how ambitious projects can end up as one of the biggest failures of the year.
