Will the old hits make a comeback?

Take-Two Interactive has once again sparked hopes among fans of old Rockstar hits. During a recent iicon event in Las Vegas, CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed that the company is considering the return of its older IPs, including the cult classic L.A. Noire.

Although a specific announcement has not been made, Zelnick clearly indicated that Take-Two is “thinking about the future of all its franchises,” emphasizing that a key factor is whether there is a team passionate enough to work on a particular project.

Interestingly, when asked about L.A. Noire, he replied briefly: “Yes… you never know,” further fueling speculation about a possible sequel or reboot of the game. Let’s remember, the original L.A. Noire was released in 2011 and sold over 7.5 million copies, but it never received a proper sequel.

In addition to this detective hit, other dormant franchises like Bully, Midnight Club, or Manhunt are also in the mix, meaning that Rockstar could significantly expand its portfolio beyond series like GTA and Red Dead in the future. However, it should be noted that the company's current focus remains on Grand Theft Auto VI, so a potential return of older IPs may only follow after its release.
