Microsoft Gaming today announced a partnership with AMD focused on the joint development of silicon for a whole range of devices – from consoles and portable devices, through PCs, to cloud gaming platforms and accessories.

Sarah Bond, president of Xbox, said in the announcement:

"Our vision is for you to play the games you want, with the people you want, anywhere. That's why we're investing in a new generation of hardware - console, portable console, PC, cloud and accessories... In partnership with AMD, we're developing chips that bring a new era of graphics innovation, deeper visual quality, more immersive gameplay and AI-enhanced experiences - all with full compatibility with the existing Xbox game library"
