According to the portal Insider Gaming, pre-orders for the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto VI could start as early as May 18, 2026. The information leaked through an email campaign from the retailer Best Buy, and Insider Gaming claims to have independently confirmed the authenticity of the message.
The email was reportedly sent to affiliate partners via the Impact platform, one of the largest affiliate marketing networks. Insider Gaming states that two different affiliate partners forwarded them the original messages coming from the address "notifications@app.impact.com,” confirming the credibility of the information leak.
If the information proves to be accurate, pre-orders would begin exactly five months before the official release of the game, which is scheduled for November 19, 2026. This could mean that there are no new delays in the game's release, which many fans have feared in recent months.
The news has further fueled speculation about a possible upcoming release of the third trailer for GTA 6. On social media, fans believe that Rockstar Games might officially open pre-orders along with the new trailer. The announcement was further spread by the profile GTA6Alerts on X, which shared a video and screenshots of the alleged email.
Interest in GTA 6 continues to grow month by month. It has been over a year since Rockstar last showcased more concrete content from the game, while the second trailer has surpassed 160 million views on YouTube. We will have to see how things develop in the coming days.
