Publisher New Tales and studio Aretfact have announced tactical RPG Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent. It will be based on the tabletop title Descent by Fantasy Flight Games. The game is expected to be released this spring for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
"As fans of Descent, going to Terrinoth is a great responsibility and immense joy. With Terrinoth: Heroes of Descent, we want to bring the experience of dungeon crawling from real life into digital form, and into the tactical RPG genre for PC and consoles with cooperative gameplay to make the atmosphere even closer to that of tabletop gaming. Our game is light, but there will always be another strategy, synergy, or equipment to discover." said the head of Artefacts Studio Bruno Chabanel.
Cedric Marechal from New Tales added: "This project is exactly what we want, to be at the crossroads of a well-known series, a story made by characters, and smart and meaningful gameplay. We are excited about our partnership with Artefacts Studio and asmodee and can’t wait for fans of Descent and tactical RPGs to discover a new way to become heroes of Terrinoth."
