Limited Run Games in collaboration with Marvel Games and Konami has announced a collection of retro games titled Marvel Maximum Collection. This is a collection of six games from various consoles, including the beloved arcade title X-Men: The Arcade Game, which they say is a collection for true fans.
The titles come from the 8-bit, 16-bit, and arcade eras, and the full list is as follows:
- X-Men: The Arcade Game
- Captain America and The Avengers (Arcade, SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive, NES)
- Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage (SNES, SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive)
- Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety (SNES, SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive)
- Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge (SNES, SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive, Game Boy, Game Gear)
- Silver Surfer (NES)
Additional content within the collection will include:
- Archive (images of original boxes, game instructions, and advertisements)
- Music (listening to musical performances from each game)
- Fast forward and save options
- Display options (modern pixels or CRT and scanline filters)
- Rollback netcode (for X-Men: The Arcade Game)
