In the new game Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, players are spared moments where Indy could harm dogs – even if you aim his gun at them, they simply run away. Creative director of MachineGames Jens Andersson explains that "Indiana Jones is a friend of dogs."

The decision to treat dogs as "invulnerable enemies" is part of MachineGames' desire to make Indiana Jones more suitable for a family audience, unlike their Wolfenstein games. "Indiana Jones has its violent moments, but we want to maintain the family spirit of the series," adds Andersson.

In The Great Circle, players will experience authentic Indiana Jones adventures, with "somewhat creepy moments" and claustrophobic scenes. However, for those wondering – the dogs are safe.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle arrives on Xbox Series X/S and PC on December 9, 2024, while the PlayStation 5 version is scheduled for spring 2025.
