Legendary Gothic game is soon to captivate players around the world again – it has been confirmed that Gothic Remake will be released on June 5, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Steam and GOG).
This is a complete remake of the original RPG classic from 2001, developed by Alkimia Interactive and published by THQ Nordic. The game promises an authentic recreation of the original with modernized systems and technical upgrades tailored for today's consoles and PCs.
The story takes you back to the Valley of Mines (The Colony), where the kingdom of Myrtana relies on rich mining resources. However, exploitation and a magical barrier that confines prisoners lead to a rebellion, and the arrival of an unknown prisoner – i.e., the player – completely changes the situation.
