22cans and legendary designer Peter Molyneux have announced that Masters of Albion will be released on April 22, 2026, exclusively on PC via Steam. This is an action-strategy “god game” that combines building, simulation, city management, and real-time defense, emphasizing freedom of play — whether you are building, exploring, or destroying.
In Masters of Albion, players take on the role of a deity in the land of Albion, where you design and build structures, manage the population, customize buildings and resources, and oversee daytime activities. At night, the world becomes dangerous as dark forces emerge and attack your village, so you must build defensive systems and engage heroes for protection — you can even directly control characters in battle.
Molyneux stated that this is the pinnacle of his career, combining elements from Dungeon Keeper, Black & White, and Fable into a unique experience of a modern “god game.” Players can explore the world from a divine perspective or possess various characters and creatures to uncover secrets, complete quests, and shape the fate of Albion.
Masters of Albion offers players the freedom to create and control their world, combining creativity and strategy with dangerous nighttime challenges.
