The Disney Afternoon Collection is finally coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 — scheduled for February 26, 2026!
This expanded edition of the retro collection brings eight classics inspired by popular Disney cartoons from the late '80s and early '90s, including two new titles that were not part of the original package: Goof Troop and Bonkers (both from the SNES era).
Along with them, there are also well-known games: DuckTales, DuckTales 2, Chip ’n Dale Rescue Rangers, Chip ’n Dale Rescue Rangers 2, TaleSpin, and Darkwing Duck, all originally released for NES.
The new Nintendo version of the collection also brings modern features — players can use Rewind to correct mistakes, save progress anywhere, and six NES games have Time Attack and Boss Rush modes with online leaderboards. There is also a Gallery with archival materials from the Disney archive and a Music Player for the original soundtracks of all titles.
The digital version will be available from February 26, while the physical edition arrives in May, including a game card, stickers, postcards, milk caps, and a reversible cover — and pre-order is open via Atari.com, Nintendo eShop, and other retailers.
The Disney Afternoon Collection represents a perfect opportunity for nostalgia and rediscovering classic Disney adventures from the '90s on modern Nintendo consoles.
