Studio Ember Lab has officially announced a new game, Kena: Scars of Kosmora, a sequel to Kena: Bridge of Spirits. The game will be released in 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC.
The new adventure follows an older and more experienced Kena, now known as the Spirit Guide, who travels to the mysterious island of Kosmora in search of answers about the troubles she has endured her whole life. The story introduces new cultures, regions, and hidden secrets of the past, as well as a personal challenge. After a powerful spirit breaks her staff, Kena must learn a forgotten form of guiding spirits that uses alchemy and elemental powers. Elemental spirit companions will play a significant role, growing with the player and unlocking new abilities. The combat system is expanded with elemental skills, infusions, and strategic use of companions, featuring challenging battles and major boss fights. The development team emphasizes that their partnership with PlayStation Studios has allowed them to create a larger and more ambitious world, with more information expected in the coming months.
